BALANCE

I had a great time with my friend Anthony yesterday. He drove over 70 miles round trip to assist me with some car troubles. He’s one of my best friends from college who will soon be featured in my blog doing some awesome yoga headstands and inversion pull ups. Both being competitive athletes for most of our lives (he was quite the cross country/ track star) we have that “work hard play hard” mentality that we are slowly trying to break away from. We both work a ridiculous amount of hours a week, exercise too much and too hard (though we have gotten a LOT better about that), eat super healthy and then just fall of the wagon completely for a few days (a LOT of improvement there as well). He too has recently gotten into yoga which has helped both of us tremendously find some balance in our lives. Life is about moderation. “Don’t let work or your exercise schedule get in the way of your social life” is what I am constantly reminding myself. And I hate to say this, but YOLO. That phrase has helped me make so many great decisions. But even YOLOing has to be done in moderation. Anthony and I made a promise (to ourselves mainly) that we are going to spend the next month really focusing on creating a balanced life style.
